In my opinion, we can't let Congress pass this immigration bill just to appease a petulant, childish, foot-stomping, temper-tantrum-throwing President. What matters more in this country, what the President wants, or what the people want?

Yep, that's right, Kevin, I'm a racist because I don't think there's a damn way to enforce this bill, making it an enormous waste of time and money.

Yep. That makes me a racist. By the way, it's "you're," not "your." "Your" is a possessive, so unless you think I own a racist, YOU'RE wrong.

Kevin: I already did. It's totally unenforceable. It's a waste of time.

Yes, daily. Bush, or any politician for that matter, isn't going to force this amnesty crap down my throat without me putting up a fight.

KEVIN: Your claiming that people are "racist" for being against this bill merely proves that you have NO VALID ARGUMENT in support of this travesty.

Actually I do write about every two weeks about one thing or another. Yes I have mentioned the immigration problem and have asked to take things a little slower. One thing at a time so it can work.

Those in the USA without permission are criminals and should be dealt with as such. Not deported automatically but be given the chance to become legal by learning the language and obeying the laws. If not then deporting is appropriate.

Yes, I go the normal route to complain for the most part....But as far as the correct way to handle things....

If the Senate and House worked with President Bush and didn't bash him so bad there maybe a simple solution....thats good for all people...

But instead they are grandstanding ....they are all acting like a buncha spoiled kids....heck even they couldn't come up with a resolution.....with The President out of the country.....

I don't agree with amnesty and regardless of what they say it's amnesty to people who hide here illegally....

Party had nothing to do with the stalemate on the bill...those being stubborn did....As with anything open communications resolve issues....threats and character slams do nothing but irritate matters worse...

We should be working together for A BETTER America....

Written, faxed and called multiple times, yes. My latest fax pointed out that it would be foolish for any sane person to think that this immigration reform would be enforced any better than the one in 1986. We were promised secure borders then and we got an invasion and that is exactly what will happen again if the American people don't wake up from their Paris Hilton stupor and start jamming the phone lines to Capitol Hill.
Demand a secure border. Power to the people.

I call them two-faced lying bastards every damn day! The government better wake up and smell the coffee! We the American people must risk everything to stop this free pass bill! Call your Congressmen today and tell them to start enforcing the current laws by Arresting and Deporting ALL illegals and then we can worry about the rest. So, everybody call today!

Many times. I have sent e-mails, faxes, and made several phone calls, as well as forwarding contact information to friends and relatives to ensure that the voice of the true American majority gets heard, and I will continue to do so until this joke of a bill is quashed permanently.

The link below has letter templates ready and can be used to easily fax your reps.

They're meeting right now and we can only hope that this doesn't go through.

Just a bit earlier, Tony Snow was interviewed and he feels strongly that it will go through. I am disgusted and sickened by this.

As soon as I get to my office this morning, I'll be sending more faxes and earlier this morning, I sent more emails.

Yes I have and BTW thanks for reminding me. It seems we must give the White House another blast. The president seems determined to resurrect it.

Let's keep everyone's feet to the fire.

Agreed. If he's on board it can mean only one thing. The bill will solely benefit big business.

Illegal immigration is driving down the wage here in the united states. Why not make them legal citizens so we can tax them now? I mean its going to be good for everyone. Well unless you are a racist.

Thanks for the English lesson mommy

Give me one good reason why you don't want this to pass and I won't call you a racist.
