"First of all we have Morocco. We drove up to Lisbon late this afternoon to catch a flight to Casablanca where embassy officials will meet us. We were surprised to learn that a 20 seat propeller plane was sent instead of the larger aircraft. Luckily Kate, Clarence and I got squeezed on although we were certainly rather apprehensive about flying on such an aircraft- it reminded us of some of the internal flights we took in New Zealand in the mid 90’s."

Who are the other 18 seats for if they had to 'squeeze in', their entourage?

Not only are the McCanns irresponsible, they are arrogant, insulting and patronizing in the extreme. " We had little knowledge of Morocco before coming here and have learned what a family orientated and child loving society it is." For people who misplaced their own kid and now are using other people's money to buy themselves a world tour, (under the guise of a 'search') they should show a little more humility.
I doubt seriously that any Moroccan mother would even think of leaving her kids unattended to go out for an 'undisturbed dinner' as the MsCann's did.
It boggles the mind that people still support them and send in money.
Also does it not strike anyone as strange that they can think about timing their runs and set targets for the next run as if they were training for the Olympics.
If my daughter had disappeared, I certainly wouldn't be thinking about my running time. I probably would be too distraught to even know what time it was or whether it was day or night.

I find it very strange that in a world that instinctively feels deeply for the parents of any missing child that I should type Gerry McCann's name into a search engine and find little other than negative comments. We have to ask ourselves - why are we all so suspicious? Is it a basic contempt for people who had no apparent reason to leave their children alone in an open apartment night after night? Is it the inexplicably growing ego of a father basking in the media spotlight who we naturally expect to be grieving in private? Is the ungrateful, complacent attitude towards money and resources donated by people with less in their bank account to spare than the McCanns? There are so many weird and suspicious aspects to this situation that I don't know where to start. I'm confused as to how the McCanns can be so confidently disregarded as suspects when they were the last people to see Madeleine alive and there were so many contradictions and gaps in the information they've given about that night. I work in the health sector and I know that doctors of all kinds are generally regarded as gods, even when they are known to frequently make mistakes - is this an extreme case of this behaviour? Something about the whole case makes me feel uneasy and I admit that I feel guilty for questioning apparently innocent people, but it's interesting how many other people I speak to have the same perspective. I really don't know if Gerry and Kate's odd and infuriating behaviour is just a matter of celebrity gone to another crazy new level or a carefully orchestrated cover-up of some kind, but either way I think they should use some of their "stock taking" time to assess their next move and re-focus on the reason people donated all the money that is currently funding their 5 star world tour - to find their daughter: the original gift they took for granted.

Today was the first day that i read Gerrys blog and as serious a matter this is im after laughing my head off. What is the man writing about the beaches and sea bass for when his four year old daughter is missing. Why did they have to buy new clothes to visit the pope. If my daughter was missing the last thing that would be on my mind would be new clothes. I truly hope that maddie is found and i hope wherever she is, she is safe, but i just dont get these two, and find it all a little bit weird.

Gerry and Kate McCaan equates with the Blairs. They are all on their farewell tour drumming up support for their futures! Personally I think they should be shipwrecked on a desert island - and take part in a reality show which never ends. Or is it possible that Gerry McCaan sees himself as the next president of the UK? Then he will get a larger aircraft! Just had a though - we are striving against GM crops etc - please notice the initials! Familiar or what? Or is that another question to be posted here?

So the McCanns are looking still for their daughter, who has been missing for over a month (and as sad as it may be, have an infinitessimally small chance of finding her now), by flying all over Europe, meeting embassy officials, ministers and popes, and are upset that the two of them are only allowed a 20 seat plane. Pathetic.
It reminds me of the news this morning: a child of less than two years has drowned, but police have given up looking for the child's father, who is suspected also to have drowned, after only 24 hours' searching.
Why do the McCanns get all this free stuff and publicity? What about all the other missing people?

Will these two ever stop fecking moaning about everything. They're getting this help for nothing.

I wonder how the donator of the jet felt after reading that? How ungrateful can you get?

The reason they had to squeeze in to the plane was because of Kate and Gerry's fat wallets and big heads.

Is it just me or does anyone else get the feeling that Mr McCann will appear in the next series of Celebrity Big Brother...?

God forbid they dont fly in the lap of luxory every time. Oh my goodness. Lets see also 2 children age 2. They could have rented a cute little 2 bedroom apt in Portugal rather then a million dollar villa and used the money to help find their child opposed to starting a telethon.

Well spotted, i think these people are expecting too much and would think they are paying very little towards the costs of keeping them in Portugal.

If you were the parents of a missing child you wouldn't give a monkeys about what size the bloody plane was!

You also wouldn't care where you slept, what you ate, how you even survived because your entire life would be consumed with the search for your child, nothing else would be important.
