Yes it does but no one wants to mention it because it would seem racist.

But he is a Christian and raised as one and has never been any other faith, he was not raised with his father and only spend a few years with his step father.
Either way, most Muslims are peaceful and law abiding.
Imagine if the world thought all American Christians were like the KKK? They are Christians too. Untrue and unfair, right?
Either way, the question is just wrong and racist and we do not understand our own constitution when it comes to the separation of church and state.

"Not HALF as much as YOUR father burning crosses in Mississippi....
Oh sorry you dont know who your father is, my bad... Do you NOW understand why these types of arguments don't work? When you ask a question such as this, you just show how afraid and small minded you are."
Well Bert...one can tell from your comment that you're well rounded and enlightened.
As for the poster's question. Who cares. Vote based on the merit of the candidate, not his/her ethnic or religious background.

No, why should it? He has Baptist maternal grandparents and an agnostic mother. I does not matter to me.
Would it bother you that our current President's grandfather, Prescott Bush, was financier that worked for the Nazis? If that does not, then Obama's familial background should not. You don't choose your family, you succeed because or in spite of them

No, since he probably won't get the nomination. More bothersome is that racist church that he attends. I'll bet he regrets the day that his pastor was interviewed on national TV. Ouch!

I didn't know that and I don't follow politics closely, mainly because I don't care (I'm not a citizen so I can't vote anyway), but I have always jokes with my parents that Obama sounds a lot like Osama. Hmmmm...the muslim parent thing makes it that much more interesting. :)
Cheers!
