Specially since there are many other minorities, even more numerous, that barely get in the light, and if so they are represented as stereotypes.
why if there are so many talented and culturally rich personalities and ideosyncrasies.
Do they get some preferential guild or club privilege?
How can such benefit american cultural richness?

The percent of jewish in Campuses don't change above their demographic average, unless the University is a Theological Seminary or they discriminate for some other reason the Bulk of the population....or the Bulk of the population are not interested in Universities, relegating them as a "jewish thing"since time immemorial...only in America. And elsewhere since french, italian or other european like talents as Botticelli or Descartes decided to leave their inheritance only to jewish talent!!!

Intelligence is not another exclusive religion of the jewish faith or genes selective output, and human contribution to knowledge is not a mayoritarian jewish language construction.Wisdom has no ethnic last name though Western Culture has many grandparents or uncles, godparents.

First, I don't know if they are "over-represented" or not. However, a lot of the entertainment industry is centered in New York City and there are a lot of Jews who live there so you might just say that they happen to be where all the action is.

For instance, I live near Washington DC and I could easily complain that government employees are "over-represented" in my housing development - but that would be silly. The government is a major employer around here so of course there's going to be a lot of govies in my neighborhood.

If the industry is big where there are a lot of people of a certain type then you're going to get a lot of people of that type working in the industry. It's not a conspiracy - just plain numbers.

Because they were the only areas open to Jews then. Jews couldn't own property, or get into businesses owned by Wasps, so they went into field that other people weren't interested in, such as movies, media, etc. Read your history.

man you could write a book on this - but they basically pioneered television in the US singlehandedly and they also basically pioneered hollywood ( this was mostly done by 2nd generation jews after world war 2 ) -they took positions in newspapers so they could defend themselves and others against singleminded people -It benefits american cultural richness because they are very openminded people who have an affinity to accept all forms of art and people
