You know, from the 50s through the 70s, before it became something else. If so, how old are you? (I'm testing a theory here.)

OK, you proved my theory that lots of people love the music their parents grew up with, or even their grandparents. It's around the house, you listen, and you get hooked.

Now I'll put the question to a vote.

Here :) (30s)

I'd think that most people who grew up during those years will def' say yes to this.

But it's also good to see Plenty of today's teens into music of those years.

I sure do. Even though the majority of what I listen to is from the 90's, I grew up in the 70's and will always have a place in my heart for the music back then.

And to test your theory, I'm in my 30's.

i like all music. inclusive of Rock and Roll. My well-known is from the middle 50's - 60's era. I could admit i'm no longer too prepared on "Acid, or, no longer basic Rock". yet I relatively have gentle Rock and Oldies programed in my automobile radio.

the 50s-70s is my favorite musical period.........the music and lyrics were amazing, the musicianship of the bands/artists were superior. Most of the material was original (so what if many artists covered other contemporaries.....i.e. Elvis/Carl Perkins, Hendrix/Dylan, The Byrds/Dylan.......etc). The music was clean and wasn't filtered or effects-laden......well they developed overdubbing in the 60s.

I am 24 years old and grew up with oldies and classic rock.......while kids my age were listening to new edition and new kids on the block, I was listening to Led Zeppelin, The Doors, The Beatles and The Kinks.

I'm only 14, but I love classic rock. Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, AC/DC, The Beatles, Rush, and Thin Lizzy all rock.

F*ck yeah, rock and roll is great. I would give half my major organs for it to return to the world. And to answer that other question, I'm 16, and have been listening to rock for...8 years.

I'm 30 and a great rock and roll music fan. I grew up listening to Elvis, Beatles, Pink Floyd, Queen, David Bowie, etc. I think if Rock and Roll genre wasn't born, the music world would be soooo boring!

I love rock and roll! hehe
