My dell dimension cd/dvd drive has broken and I need to replace it. All dvd drives now seem to be SATA technology and not PATA. How do I get aroud this and avoid the £100 cost to get a new dvd/cd drive

I bought a pata DVD writer in PC World a few weeks ago for under £30... and they only had pata cd/dvd drives then.
