People arent against Tarot Cards. They are just a symbol to a lot of people of evil and satanism. They are a misunderstood art form

It never ceases to amaze me how many ignorant people feel the need to speak out on a subject they are totally ignorant of. The fact that people are saying either "How can a CARD tell the future" and "The cards are evil" is a testament to that.

To answer your question, tarot cards started off as a game about 800 years ago. They are the origin of our modern playing cards. Somewhere along the way, people started using them for divination. The cards themselves have NO power. They are a medium. The power comes entirely from the reader. I myself have used them with great results for over 10 years, and I should add that I've never charged for a reading, I just like to help people, which I understand is the exception not the rule. The bad rap came from the fact that they are a well known divination tool, and just prior to the inquisition, the Bible was changed to help facilitate the outlawing of the old country fortune telling methods as part of the witch hunts. Other methods of divination received somewhat less attention, as they were less common. Modern Tarot embraces the tradition of fortune telling over the gaming tradition, and artists generally add many symbols commonly recognizable to the common fortune teller, including some numerology. Many symbols are misunderstood. The death card for example- It usually doesn’t mean anything bad unless the reader is afraid of change, for that what it means; and ending and a new beginning. I’d be more worried if I pulled the tower.
Hope I answered your question

1. I think people fear the unknown. I can't see how it works it's
evil or fake.
2. One concern is that people use this to decide things for
them. I think it should be used just like any other advice.
Don't do everything anybody or the cards tell you if it
doesn't seem right to you.
3. Many religious people quote the Bible where fortune telling
is condemed. Imagine a King not wanting his enemy to
know stuff about him wow big suprise it was called evil.
4. Carl Jung (famous psychologist) studied Tarot believing
that he caused what cards came up from our own minds.

A lot of people don't look into tarot cards before they have a reading done. They see the 'death' card, freak out and run away before the person has time to explain.

Not *all* people are "against" the tarots. Only some. The ones who are "against" tarots are usually afraid of them, there is a fear factor involved, usually instilled through belief system indoctrination. This is neither "good" nor "bad", it's just the way particular belief systems work.

Lol coz they just get to c the pictures of creatures unknown to normal human kind and when u c some alien on a card it's bound to create some kind of disturbance as we do not know it's good or evil. I wonder why do tarot cards have such pictures in the first place. lol why can't it have simple pictures which can be self explaining.

Like what some people said; people are afraid of what they don't understand. But the cards shown as you draw tarot cards, well maybe it could be destiny that you have drawn those certain cards. Who knows!

There are always those people that fear the unknown. They dont like something because they simply dont know anything about them. I dont beleive them 100%, but many times they do predict things that people just dont want to hear or beleive. Some people look at them as purely entertainment, thats fine. I just find them interesting and I have already turned them over to see what they say, and since I didnt like the answer, shuffeled the deck again and layed them down, and to my surprise, saw the same exact cards come up!! Is that weird or what? That has happened more than once. I grew up with belief in many things like this and dont see anything wrong with it. Just like watching movies, if you cant handle a certain type of movie... then dont watch it!!

1. tarot cards and other reading or future predictions have been proven time and time again to be blatantly false.

2. The original tarot was most likely a way of communicating a particular belief or religion like the Carpathian "heresy" and that teaching was lost through the ages.

3. As it became popular, all sorts of versions were produced without regard to any historical facts i.e. the native American deck -- not only did the native Americans not use the tarot, but the totems and their meaning have no relation to the tarot.

Because their belief tells them they are wrong. Many people have taken what is written in the old testament to mean any form of divination is against G*d.

Some fear to acknowledge their own choices, and their responsibility for their life, and where they are.

Some people fear to know the future.

Some believe it's Pagan, or a part of being Wiccan, therefore it's wrong/evil.

Some people believe it's a codex for something, and therefore fear it or believe it's wrong/evil.

Some people believe you can connect to spirits with them, and some of the spirits may be of the negative kind.

All of these are beliefs or personal emotions, not facts.
