The surgeon won't do it now without the OK from your OB. it isn't the location of the surgery, it's the possibility of damaging the embryo with the drugs. If you must have surgery before the child is born, wait until after the 12th week.
When you go in for surgery, they will ask you if you're pregnant. When you say yes, they will send you home.
I had surgery to remove a breast lump during week 15 of one pregnancy and everything went just fine.

I was meant to have dental surgery at 17 weeks but where told that there was risk to the baby with the anitheic so i phoned and cancelled and said i would come in after the baby was born, if the surgery is needed then the risk might be worth it but otherwise talk to your doctor about this who might advise either cancelling sugary or leaving it until you are a bit further on
good luck

This is a question only a doctor can answer. Call whatever doctor is doing the surgery and let him/her know that you are pregnant and have concerns. You may want to try to reach a ob, too, just to be safe.

Any responsible surgeon will ask you whether you could be pregnant before doing anything, but as this pregnancy is not obvious to anyone other than you you surely have a duty to yourself and your unborn child to tell them up front and now; don't wait till you're in pre-op and use up theatre time someone else could have had. The answer is almost certainly no,but I agree with the previous contributor that you need proper medical advice.

You need to tell the sugeon and the anaethatist. Only the surgeon will know if the surgery is important enough to do now, or can be left for 9 months.

I unquestionably have had surgical treatment no longer understanding i became pregnant, and am now 31 weeks. I even have an identical wrist situation. Mine comes and is going. I went to my chiropractor and he did some ameliorations and it helped it get the ganglion broken up. the difficulty is it is going to continually come back until eventually the muse of it incredibly is out. My mom had an identical project and had hers taken out with a needle. i might look into different concepts, becasue surgical treatment is by no potential that risk-free for the duration of being pregnant, yet human beings do, do it. i might weigh out the professionals and cons, in case you could wait it out attempt going to the chiropractor or get your guy or surgeon to hit your wrist with a bible. i are conscious of it sounds painful even though it is going to wreck it up besides. Goodluck and congrats!!!

i had surgery the week before i found out i was pregnant. i hope it didn't hurt the baby.
with me they did a pregnancy test(it was too early to come back positive) they said they would not do the surgery if i was pregnant.(my surgery was on my elbow)
i guess it just depends on the doctor, you will need to call and ask them.

I rather posponed the surgery if its possible. I'm sure it'll be okay but DR.s highly advice that you wait until after pregnancy to do it. I wanted to get a simple nail biopsy and the dermatologist, he can do it for me but he Adviced me to wait...so i just gotta wait.

Don't ask on here. Call the clinic, or hospital you are due to have the operation at. They are the best to judge your babies safety.
