I am sorry but the fact that you have not married her has sent her a message that you are still hoping that someone better will come along. If you love a woman enough to share a home for 8 yrs and have children with her you should love her enough to provide the emotional security of marriage as well.
You need to talk with her and not us. I am sorry for being harsh but if my husband lost his job that would not make me leave him. I think she has other reasons and you need to be open with her and try to fix this.

well i wouldn't say i understand what u are going through but i think i have at least a little glimpse of your situation, she is not your wife as u said u were never married so she is not considered as your wife by law i am sorry to say that if she wants to leave there is nothing that u can do,but before she leaves try speaking with her make sure the kids aren't around when u do this, if after speaking with her she still wants to leave then just pray and thank god for your strength pray for her and wish her luck with her future get your self into shape and get out there an look for a job the sooner u get something to do the better it will be for as u know idle time is the devil's playground. just keep the faith there must be something better on its way for u.good luck

If you are a Christian, why weren't you married before you had 2 kids? The past is the past, get a job, pay your child support and be there as a responsible adult for your kids. Moping around on Yahoo Answers looking for advise from strangers isn't going to make it better. Get going!!

supposedly you are a christian. You're living with this woman unmarried with 2 kids. okay....
First you have to understand what your role is as a man. you have to provide for your family. God is the center of your life, then your wife (you should marry) and then your kids.
Get into God's word and learn what He requires so that a marriage and family can be successful. If is your job to be the head of the household. If your woman is leaving for another man ask her for another chance and show her that you're willing to change and DO IT. Then she will see through your example and affect her too!

Being a woman myself maybe she got tired of waiting for you to marry her. She was good enough to give you children but not good enough to marry? If people really love each other the stick together through thick and thin. Just because she is with someone else doesn't mean you can't be a father to your children. I wish you the best of luck.

Get counseling. Maybe begin by checking to see if you can talk to your church priest or minister, find a certified counselor in your area, call your doctor and see if you can be evaluated for depression and whether or not your health insurance will cover counseling. Do you have parents or brothers and sisters you can confide in?
I am not so sure you have decided yet what you really want? You need to know in your heart of hearts what you want before you can make it happen. For example, do you want your partner back? If you were her, would you want yourself back? Break the situation down into smaller pieces and determine what kinds of changes you need to make in your life to get you where you need to be?

If you are a Christain then why aren't you married to the women who has been performing wifely duties to you and you are performing husband duties too? On top of giving new life? Some christain walk.
I think you need to turn to God and ask him what to do and let him work it out. You can't except to live a sinful life and then have a glorious turn out!

If my wife would leave me for another man because I am going through a financial problem then I would say good riddance to bad rubbish. Are you sure you are making every effort to get a job? Yes, on the surface, I would even encourage her to leave.

Unfortunately if your wife has decided to leave, there isn't much you can do. The decision has already been made...Get yourself in to counseling and get back on your feet. You need to work on fixing you and don't worry, God won't strike you dead for this...
