Wow. Seriously. Wow. Can people be any more absurd? Homosexuality isn't a "switch" to turn on and off. For pete's sake. Men and women have fought bravely for our country, both homosexual and heterosexual. What kind of idiot invented THIS??? OMG seriously...how sad...

That may just be one of those carzy like a fox situations. Before you go calling the idea insane or stupid look at what would happen if there were some chemical that did what was suggested.

They would be more interesterd in getting a piece of tail than blowing their tail off with suicide bombs. If it did make them homosexual the race would die off in a generation. Either way the problem would be gone. And you would have peace in teh Middle East, something that hasn't existed since Moses caught the Egyptians in the Red Sea trap.

So yes, at first glance is sounds crazy. But don't write the whole thing off before you think it through. It's really not nearly as crazy as it sounds. It's what's called out of the box thinking.

Maybe it was a lobby to milk money from the government to friends who were supposedly building bombs.

Stop being disingenuous, it's a sensationalism piece you didn't read fully...."The Department of Defense is committed to identifying, researching and developing non-lethal weapons that will support our men and women in uniform," said a DOD spokesperson, who indicated that the "gay bomb" idea was quickly dismissed...."

"....Military officials insisted Friday to CBS 5 that they are not currently working on any such idea and that the past plan was abandoned...."

Actually it was in the early 90's. The idea was proposed by the air force, and quickly dismissed by the pentagon.

It was a legitimate attempt at non-lethal warfare. The ability to destroy an enemy's ability and desire to fight would be a valuable asset, it's the foundation of much of our psychological warfare...

Well if you could cause some sort of hormonol reaction that confused their sexuality it would make them pretty useless in combat. All those gay men suddenly worried more about their hair(Like John Edwards) than about staying combat ready,LMAO!!!

While there are limits to human intelligence, there does seem to be no limits to human stupidity.
