That depends. The american system increases every thousand, hence, a thousand million is a billion, a thousand billion is a trillion, etc. The british system increases when you have however many again of what ever number you have, hence a million million is a billion, a billion billion is a trillion, etc. So ignoring the difference in currencies, a british millionaire would be as rich as an american millionaire, but a british billionaire would be substantially richer than an american billionaire.
