Gmail help needed, I have no sound with the "tour" on how to use it ???

Question

I have sound on everything else, but not on the tour. and how do i sign in to gmail anwer boards so I can post these question there and in gmail, can I add animated pictures and picture within my text to make it cuter and funny ? I have a friend who emails me from earthlink and she can do it. How ? thanks from the 56 year old dinosaur who loves to answer homework help and parenting questions in those sections because I am a recently retired elem teacher and also Christian stuff.

As for adding icons and whatnot to your emails, the easiest way would probably to access your gmail account through Outlook or Outlook Express, but perhaps the thread below can help if you just want to use the web client (note that some of the messages in the thread may be collapsed; you should expand them all to read the whole thread):
