Soccer and Motocross athletes are the most fittest, since they participate in their sports for a long time, motocross racer race over some of the roughest terrain in the world, natural and man made, some races last between 30-45 minutes depending on the governing body of that race, GP racers do it for 45 minutes plus one lap, which AMA racers go fro 30 minutes.

Decathletes would have to be pretty good to be able to do their 10 disciplines in 2 days.

Seeing how fast world record holder Roman Šebrle was to recover after being pierced by a javelin on January 22nd, 2007 - going on to win the heptahlon at the European Indoor Championships the first weekend of March! - would seem pretty strong evidence of his overall fitness.

Gymnasts...Strong, muscular, flexible, agile, graceful. They do things NO other type of athlete could do.
