illegal immigrants ruin this country?

Illegal immigrants are destroying our way of life. They are nothing but criminals. Look at the crime along the border. A sheriff in Texas mentioned how he was going to crack down on crime and mexicans came and shot him up.

We are going to loose our identity as a people. Mexicans do not know how to run a nation. They proved it by screwing up Mexico. There is a reason they want to be here, it's because their country sucks. Imagine if the French came over and demanded French be taught in schools. You would be outraged too.

For those of you who say that the English immigrated to America "illegally" and stole land from the Indians, I have this to say:

It was manifest destiny. That was a different time. We had to spread Christianity to those people.

I am sicked and tired of liberals acting like it's hypocritical for our ancestors to take land from Indians but be against immigration. That was a different time.

The population was smaller for one and look how much better we made things.

Manifest destiny is just a nice word for theft.

Perhaps that's why the streets of american cities are so dangerous ... guys think they have manifest destiny to other people's property, so they take it. Just like their ancestors.

Just like they're doing in Iraq now. And then saying they're making it much better.

It's not even a question it is a proven statistic that illegal immigrants ruin this country. Can't say that I blame them though look at Mexico mostly beautiful in its geography. It is the quality of the people. And the way they treat each other and their land. Open your eyes people they flushed their country down the toilet now they are coming here and trying to flush our country down the toilet as well and with Obama in charge most definitely we will go swirling down to the sewer as well. IF People came here LEGALLY and try to better the world like the early European settlers did this wouldn't be such a problem. I am not going to get involved with the politics side of this question. I will answer this question in a scientfic manner.
This will cover the spreading of disease. America requires the citizens to get different vaccines and other types of medical shots. Sometimes the vaccine will ware off or a test result will give a false positive. Those people who got the false positive and not get a new vaccine or tested again, they will not be immune to the particular strain. Also our vaccines only cover a SPECIFIC strain of a virus/bacteria/or any other disease. Scientists are still trying to come up with new vaccines.
With illegal immigrants entering this country, you can assume that they did not have the basic vaccine shots and hence may have that particular disease. Or the illegal immigrants may have a NEW strain, which our old vaccines cannot fight, which is a new strain to the body and we may not be able to fight it off. So now the new strains spread causing an epidemic. Our hospitals today cannot handle a large group of people at once. If an epidemic comes, then that would pretty much wipe out the nation.
For me, I am worried about the avian flu virus. Think about it, there is not enough vaccines to go around to everybody and hospitals lack supplies, etc. There could also be different strains that the current vaccine cannot aid to fight it off.

Armenians have been hurting out nation for many years by accepting the for Lefts agenda and saying that we will accept it. Now that is not to say that illegal immigrant are not putting a strain on our state's budgets and taking jobs away from Americans. Because they are in many ways. However, most of the americans that could take those jobs will not, because the government is taking care of them with free housing, food stamps, and the list goes on. Should be stop illegal immigrants from coming into our nation? YES. Should we deport the ones that we know about? YES Is Obama going to do anything about it? NO Is Obama hurting our nation? YES Will I vote for him in 4 years? NO

If by "made better" you mean spread diseases, such as syphilis, pneumonia, small pox, then shot the survivors, then you are right. However, I think that would be a very liberal definition of "made better", most people would regard it as genocide.
Did the original inhabitants want Christianity? Did they benefit from it? Your ancestors did not have to do anything of the sort, they were greedy for land and resources, such as gold. That is what drove them.
I'm sure the American Indians would know exactly how you would feel if you were forced to learn French. They have been forced into reservations without choice for many years.

Your description of manifest destiny would also apply to the Mexicans successfully crossing the border, surely?
You are forgetting that it was an Italian, working for the Spanish, who "discovered" America.

I think maybe you should try being an immigrant before you harp on us about coming over and "ruining" this country. You don't know what it's like and so you need to stay out of it until you can walk a mile in our shoes and understand our situation. Everyone has their reasons for doing the things they do and if you don't have or understand those reasons, then you shouldn't be judging and insulting other people. I come from immigrants on both sides and I do not appreciate your insults.

Also, use manifest destiny correctly. It does not refer to the English coming over and spreading Christianity, it refers to the belief that the US should extend from the Atlantic to the Pacific.

It is true that some immigrants do bring in some rare strains or microorganisms. However, what you are proposing is a possibility not a probability. Imagine how many years there has been illegal immigration yet you have not died yet from rare infections.
The Avian flu does not select for immigrants! This is a poor example. An American traveling businessman has a good a chance as an illegal immigrant of bringing avian flu to USA. TB is a better example of a disease that has higher prevalence among illegal immigrants than native Americans.

Yeah they ruin everything. I mean you watch the news and it's always talking about illeagals getting arrested. There just causing problems. There taking jobs. people are taking advanage of the fact that they can higher a illegal immigrant and pay them less. Then they expect all the benefits of the leagal citizens.
