NOROOZ is the new year of irainians.
it is at the begining of spring and we make a table with 7 thing that have 's' sound in persian to celebrate it.
we call those 7 thing " haft sin" that means seven 's' (haft = seven)
those seven sin 's are sib(apple),sabze(grass),sir(garlic),samano,senjed(oleaster),somagh(sumac),serke(vinegar)
these are thing that grow from ground and are symbols of life.

It means new day in farsi(iranian language)
if u iranian u know that but if u not
i tell u that it`s ancinet ceremnoy for new year in iran and it starts at the begin of spring season
something like your chrismas but with more love and more respect to old people of family
and it`s in blood of every iranian
