The McCanns say they are curtailing their European tour so they can grieve for their daughter. So, does that mean, until now, they haven't been grieving? Proper parents would have been doing so from the outset. I've also noticed they have stopped giving large scale press conferences and are now only giving one to one 'interviews' (questions agreed in advance, of course) with sympathetic and compliant reporters.

Do you think the real reason for stopping their tour might possibly be to avoid awkward questions such as the one last week in Germany?

Answers, please.

The McCann's Flying Circus is starting to sicken people IMO...and the more they carry on eg. the blog, the more they give themselves away. Something here stinks. Why are they so desperate to stay out of the UK? Could it be because British police will ask a damn sight more questions.....and very much more awkward ones, than the Portuguese did?

And btw...I'm beginning to feel faintly insulted that they expect us to believe every word they say just because they are doctors. How bloody patronising. There is only their word for it about the circumstances surrounding Maddie's disappearance. No other adult can confirm their story and the twins can't talk. Yet.

Just because they dont break down and cry every 5 minutes does not mean to say they havnt been grieving! My sister was abducted in 1981 it took over 6 weeks to get her in the media my parents when they eventually got on the tele to fight for katrice were not crying that doesnt mean to say they were not devasted or heartbroken, they were just trying to keep a level head does that make them not proper parents! whilst you are slagging off the parents you are forgetting the point! a little girl called MADDIE! they have handled everything really well! I am sure if it was your child you would do exactly the same! They have done everything they possibly can! which any parent would do! as my parents did! who i am very proud of!

You call yourself "the rationalist"??? What rationale do you use when you presume they 'haven't been grieving till now'.
Have you seen Kate's face during all this time...didn't she look sad enough for you? OR did you want her collapse right in front of the cameras? Time has passed & tho' i don't think they have given up hope (no parent can) they must be exhausted emotionally & physically. Naturally, they'd slow down. But trust you guys to whack them for that as well. You make me want to cry.

From day one of my daughter/son going missing, I would not of slept, eaten, etc. I would of been one total wreck, but who cares as long as I went scouring around every corner until I found him/her. The McCanns have no compassion. They are all as hard as nails and hearts made out of stone. Any decent parent would of been totally wrecked by now, not posing and smiling for cameras and the press.

I think nasty people should just leave the McCanns alone.
They are going through hell because they have lost their daughter so they dont need insensitive people accusing them of daft things and finding something bad in everything that they are doing.
They just want their daughter back and i pray they find her alive and well very soon.
