I;m looking at purchasing nintendo wii nd im wondering whether they are good or not... if not are there any alternatives. I already have a PS2 and dont wnaat and xbox or ps3... thanks

The Wii is fun, and a basic sports game comes with it. When you play a game, you do get some good excesice playing it, almost as if you were really playing the sport.
There is also a news and weather channel, if you update it and you have internet at your house, you can use these to check the news and weather.
If you have any gamecube games, you can also play them on you Wii. You have to use a gamecube contoller though. :(
There are also Miis, miniature people you can create, name, and edit if you want to change them.
The pictue channel is where you can download pictures and doodle on them. Some pictures you can get by the mail, which I will explain later. You can also doodle on these.
The mail is just a place where you get updates on what happened that day. Such as how long you played on the photo channel. You Wii will automatically get internet if you have it at home. Nintendo will send you messages, and possibly pictures. These you can use on the photo channel.
The shop channel is where you can buy new channels with Wii points. To get Wii points, you have to pay nintendo some money. With these Wii points in hand, you can then buy some new channels. I have not bought any, so I dont know what they have, but I do know they have an internet channel, I think where you can just surf the net.
The Nintendo Wii really is a good buy, and I had a really good time playing it.

It is a VERY good gaming system. The graphics aren't like an Xbox 360's or a PS3, but the game play of the games are usually amazing. It's very interactive, especially with the new Motion Wii Plus. Wii Fit keeps you healthy, (I lost a stone I think on there :D ) It's a great family and friend consol. I would reccomend it.

The Nintendo Wii is a lot of fun, and provides some fairly good cardio exercise. When I played Wii sports for the first time, and had a boxing match against my neighbor, I was sweating up a storm.

I own a Wii and I consider it to be very good. It diesn't have the graphics of the PS3 or the 360, but the games are fun to play. The virtual console also has great classic games for download.

Yes it is actually and they said that nintendo wii causes body weight loss so isf you need some weight loss get wii dude

I would get the wii, it is a good cheap console that is worth the money.
I would get the wii at toys r us.

Yes, they are lots of fun and has some great games. But good luck finding one, they are still hard to find.
