I can't drive, so I'm most likely going to be the person on the side of the road who needs helping.
Anyone going anywhere near Lyon at the end of June?

Yes have done many a time. Only about 6 weeks ago I aksed if someone was OK who just hit a kerb and blew her tyre. She only lived up the road so was fine. She had a young girl in with her, so it came natural to me to want to help.

I did once and had a knife pulled on me. Then out of the bushes came another guy and they demanded money from me.
Thankfully I was trained in Police self defence techniques and floored both of them and arrested them.

I don't drive so I can't pull over. But I do stop if I'm walking somewhere and at least offer my cell phone(so I'm not much of a mechanic, either)

I live in the middle of nowhere, and yes everyday (it seems like anyways) I stop to help someone out, cuz it would really suck to have to walk to get any help out here

Here in California we have emergency call boxes for just that reason. If you are ever stranded in Califoria and pick up a call box you may get me. I am here all night, all week.
