Get divorce from you husband by mutual consent under section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, rather continuing with such a person who will never keep you happy in future. This is the best option you have got for now as going in long legal battle in case under section 498A IPC & under the protection of women from domestic violence Act, etc will be time consuming & money wasting affair for both of you. I know you'll say because as an Advocate its in my profession I’m asking you to say yes for divorce, but this is not so, rather being in the profession I can advice you to continue filling all sort of criminal complaints & civil cases against your husband so your matter continue for years together, but when I say go in for divorce by mutual consent its the simplest & shortest way out from a broken marriage were the couples have lost mutual trust amongst each other as in your case. The behavior of your husband is typical Indian men type who themselves may involve in all sort of dirty business but will never forget the past of their wives. Give a deep thought for whatever I told you here.

There is no such law that your husband can punish you legally, it was a premarital affair and not after marraige, if you continued the same after marraige it was wrong. Everyone has a past but you husband has taken it very seriously and it is wrong that he has already spread the matter in family which will give you bad name and dis respect. I think it is better for you to take divorce as your relationship with your huby is dead, now he will never trust you and abuse and harass mentally.

My goodness...I wish I could help you with this one but I am not familiar with your laws, practices and customs. It is amazing the differences we find from culture to culture, I could not imagine being treated this way due to having a relationship with someone before you were married. But as with any country, a law is a law and they were meant to be followed no matter how appalling others such as myself may find it all. All I can say is think about the implications with both scenarios A) You sign the divorce papers and try and move on with your life, hopefully you can salvage your dignity in some way or B) Don't sign them and deal with the possibility of your husbands harassment by him telling all the important people/places in your life of what you have done......I don't envy your position one bit and I wish you well through this difficult time............

If your husband take this matter in the court he will require a proper evidence to proof this thing that you have physical relation with that guy before marriage, but if he fails to do so you can charge him of mental harrasment and court will leave the decision in your hand whether u want a divorce or not.
but if your husband proves this thing he will get divorce from u and u won't either get share from his property or simply file a case of mental harrasment against him before he takes any action with a help of a good lawyer

The word SICK is an understatement - i am sure he belong to one of those old orthodox fucked in the head families - you know what you should do -
First - Meet him and give him one tight slap across his face if possible kick his balls as well...
Secondly, sign those papers and tell him to shove it up his entire family's ***...
If a man who cannot except honesty from his wife for something that was done in the past - than he is not a man he is a ***** in a mans shell.
Tell him to go to his mumma - you can find much more better men in this world then him, stop breaking you head on him and yes this country is kind of cruel to women so make sure once you settle everything you just leave...leave the city and the state go to a new city or town and start a new life all over again and ALONE. Dont carry any baggages along that can be fatal in the future.

Get divorce. Your lie is anyway a mess & he being typical Indian male can't accept that his wife had slept with someone else before him. There are some people who enjoy beaking doors & expect their wife to be a virgin. He is one of them with hihgly conservative mind. There is no point in dragging a relationship when its dead. You can't trust him anymore & he will never trust you. The earlier you take a decision is better, his kind of men will never understand your feelings & love.
Dragging on will make him torture you in all possible ways, & you will lose self respect. Your family would also turn against you. So earlier you get the divorce is the better.
And don't forget to take alimony. He should pay for his lack of trust. Find a man with broad mind & large heart.
All the best.

Yes. That is the Law. It is acceptable by a Court of Law for proceedings. Appoint a competent lawyer for the compensation. That is the only solace.

Listen to me, in any case it´s better to get a divorce from such a rat!!
he will make your life like hell, he doesn´t love you and has been looking for any cheap excuse to get rid of you.
Sounds horrible, but I think I am right.
Anyway, you will be better off without him.
get a divorce and forget this selfish and rotten guy!!!
