Here's the entire sample space for the first round: (Harry, Malfoy):
11 12 13 14 15 16
21 22 23 24 25 26
31 32 33 34 35 36
41 42 43 44 45 46
51 52 53 54 55 56
61 62 63 64 65 66
The probability that Harry wins after the first round is :
15/36 = 5/12
The probability that Harry is the winner is 1/2. The game doesn't favor either player.

The probability that Harry wins outright after Malfoy's first toss is 5/12 (i.e., 21, 31, 32, 41, 42, 43, 51, 52, 53, 54, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65; that's 15 of 36 possible outcomes).

If they are tied after Malfoy's first toss, Harry's chance of winning on his next toss is

(1/6)(1/6)(5/6 + 4/6 + 3/6 + 2/6 + 1/6) = 5/72

Thus the probability that Harry will win after Malfoy's first toss is 5/12 + 5/72 = 35/72.

The die obviously has six sides since the die consists of 1 -6, The probability is that Harry has the advantage since he rolls first. It is unlikely that they would both roll the same number since the odds are 1 to 6. Harry would be the winner since he has rolled first and his second roll would give him the advantage as Malfoy has only rolled once.

Since you did not indicate how many faces there is in the die, then this is like tossing a coin with TWO probabilities.

Whether it is HIGHER or LOWER.

What is difficult with that?

Drop the mouse and do your homework kid.
