I bought a Dell with Ubuntu to see how it works and I can't seem to run any of my .exe files on it. Help!!!

Because a .exe is usually a Microsoft Windows file! You need to use the software for the relevant operating system. In the same way as Windows can't run Mac OS X software, and vice-versa.

Just go with the native applications.

Saying that, Linux does have WINE - an application layer than can be used to run Windows executables, such as World of Warcraft.

Linux does not recognize .exe's as executables... this format is only good for windows OS.

Apparently, Dell doesn't include WINE, which let's you run WIN apps on Ubuntu.

Find and install a program called 'Wine'

run all .exe programs through that.

It should be in your package manager.
