this is normal growing up. make surre you are cleanign well in that are morning and evening with warm soapy wash cloth. and wearing loose bottoms to bed rather then any type of underwear is best so you can get some for the lack of better terms fresh air to that very importnat and complicated organ. do not douche. they may look enticing to clean parts you can not see but they tear down your own bodies defenses for such things as a yeast infection. if you are taking any medications that may be it and the doctor can re-prescribe something else, but i dont think thats what it is. i assume your not sexually active and thats good, cuz youd be thinking it was sexually transmitted disease. good girl. but just use the liners or wipe it away when you see it. and remember to wash your hands often thru out the day since as females our hands have to be near that part of our body and then wash them again after. but your right it is obnoxious to have this but its normal. one day it will go away. its your body just sluffing off dead cell from with in. your just growing up. and wait till your married for sex. your mother rest her soul probably would of wanted that way...and of course your dad too. take care sweetie

Hello, I'm on the second week and seeing definite improvement on my yeast infection symptoms:

Note that: If the yeast infection doesn't respond to over the counter treatment, prescription medication will likely be necessary. Similarly, if the symptoms return after two months of being treated, you should contact the doctor for professional treatment rather than resorting again to home treatment.

If this is the first time you have experienced a yeast infection, you should schedule an appointment to have the condition treated by a doctor instead of resorting to home treatment

I doubt that u've got thrush ( yeast infection) if it doesn't smell or itch, I think it's just u growing up to be honest...It's when it turns green and smells and itches that u need to worryyyy haha... a little bit of discharge is normal for a 13 yr old I think!
If u are worrying that it's thrush though then just get some cream or tablets and it'll go straight away, it's not a big deal....don't wash urself with soap cos it washes away all ur good bacteria down there and causes thrush and if ur embarrassed to go buy thrush cream/tablets then go buy some natural yoghurt and put that inside a little bit like you would cream and it works just the same because that has loads of good bacteria in it!!

Considering your age, I don't think that you have a yeast infection. My guess is that you're just going through the wonderful world of puberty. Before you start puberty (i.e. getting your period) you'll experience discharge, and this will stay with you until menopause (sucks huh?). Some girls have heavy discharge and so they use a pantyliner to protect their underwear.

If it doesn't itch and doesn't smell, then it's just a normal discharge. All women get it. I really don't believe you have a yeast infection.

Why don't you try to talk to your dad (or an aunt) about this and other "female" things? Your Dad knows about all this stuff, you know. Good luck.

It sounds just like normal discharge. During a monthly cycle, women have various types of discharge that is normal. An egg white type stringy discharge happens just before ovulation and is meant to help the sperm by keeping it safe and protected to swim to the egg. The thicker white discharge happens after ovulation to show that you are past the time of possible pregnancy.

I really recommend a book called the Billings Method. It describes the type of discharges (and has pictures) that women have and show how to avoid pregnancy and understand your cycle through knowing what is happening in your body and your cycle. Even if you don't use it for contraception, just being in tune and understanding your body cycles is a great thing to do.

If this discharge is like the consistency of cottage cheese, then yes, it's possible that you could have a yeast infection.

If it's just thick kind of like a cream that is whitish coloring like an egg then this kind of discharge is normal. It just means that your period could be on its way, especially if this is your first time.

If this discharge is like cottage cheese please let your mom know about this.

It's just discharge. If it itches or stings, speak to an aunt or female cousin to take you to a doctor. Or just talk to your daddy. All you have to say is you need to go to a doctor for girl problems. I grew up without my mom and my dad took me!
