Hi all! i'm from Australia but I'm holidaying in the USA for a month. I was just wondering what is a good USA souvenir for a male friend. He's 22 years old. Damn, its hard buying gifts for males! :P

I would have said a shot glass, but because your friend is an Australian male he probably prefers his Victoria Bitter. Maybe you can find a beer glass and a shot glass and teach him how to make a Dr. Pepper out of that VB.

Thats hard because the US is a blend of cultures, we dont just cater to one culture, in which it would be easier to buy a souvenir for anyone if we did. I suggest buying something that has the US logo on it. Like the National Flag or something. You can find various key chains, tshirts, coffee mugs, etc anywhere. If your friend has a favorite American team, you can get a logo shirt or jersey. American is filled with all types of "souvenirs". Be creative and get something that caters to his personality. Have fun in the USA..

There are plenty of gifts for guys, you could go the old fashioned way and buy a t-shirt, but, there are plenty of other things out there. shot glasses, ashtrays, collector's spoons of the states, playing cards, lighters, rocks, key chains, etc. there are numerous things out there, it just depends on what your friend likes and where you are to get the gift. I personally, collect shot glasses and clocks, but I wish you luck sweetie.

There's a store named Big Dogs that has some amusing stuff to wear...the T shirt idea is a good one. Or you could buy him a Hummer...

Try to find a tee-shirt that says "Uncle Sam Wants YOU"! With a big Uncle Sam on it, pointing his finger at YOU. Where else you gonna find that?

try getting him a shot glass showing where you've been or some kind of item he collects. Maybe even a photogragh of you with something historical.
