Well did you know that Bhutan is the only country in the world that includes the happiness of it's people into the agenda.
There is a happiness bill or law or something (NOT LYING)
that makes their government legaly bound to bring happiness.

From what I understand, it is a country that enjoys bringing happiness to its people. Their lifestyle is that of peace and seems to be very similar to Laos, though it is more wealthy, but not tremendously. Their economics seem closer to India's, but I'm not exactly sure on that. I heard about their government change and I think it's a wonderful plan. I just hope it doesn't become a huge tourist spot because it seems too peaceful, it would be saddening to think of their way of life being disturbed by Western influence much more than it has already. I think it would be a nice place to visit, but I'd have to experience it before deciding if it is the best place to live. (But it is in the top 100)

If you want to virtually experience everyday life their from your computer, go to this website: http://www.trekearth.com/
Click on the Asian continent then click "Bhutan" on the left hand side. This website is very neat and is the top on my favorites list because it shows real life in countries all over the world. Just from the first few pictures, you can see that the people there are very content.

I am in India and am thus aware of the existence of the Himalayan kingdom, though I have not visited it so far. Unlike Sikkim and Nepal, Bhutan has managed her affairs very well and the credit should go to the Kings.

I hope to visit that beautiful country next year.

The single aerodrome and very nice peace loving people deserve a king who voluntarily renounces the political power..
