hi can any help me to get the exact reason why the trees,humans & animals got fired when lightning in the sky,why when thundered the buildings got cracked up.

the first two answrers above are very accurate. God made lightning to put nitrogen back into the earth.. its like natural mirical gro that is put back into the ground to make grass and plants greener.

Another is a BBC link to what causes thunder. It may be that the sound waves are so intense that they cause the damage to buildings but i have not really heard of thunder damage myself.

most lightning goes from the ground up not the other way around.
