The first one I remember with any clarity is the Lion King. it wasn't actually in a theater, we went to a drive-in, and every one in my family fell asleep for the second movie (the Flintstones) and I'm the only one who watched the whole thing.... I should have taken a nap too, it was stupid! lol
I liked the Lion King though.

Most likely it was The King and I, in 1956, when I was five---even though this was before I had my first pair of glasses, I loved the color, the spectacle and the wonderful songs and music.
Other early favorites were "Around the World in 80 Days" and Walt Disney's "The Great Locomotive Chase", a year later.

I remember my Mom taking me to see The Sound of Music. I was in love with movies from that moment to this. I can watch that movie anytime, anywhere, any place. What a classic!

It was so long ago I can't remember which was the first. But I do know that it was either The Ten Commandments OR The Sound of Music.
Showing my age now, haven't I? LOL
Thanks for the two points.
