well...with the drought being so severe in the south drinking water has become harder and harder to find, and has been in federal courts, because the states couldn't play fair and share.

Actually, until you added your subcomment, I was going to say fire - wild or forest fire burning down the business or home and making the hillside more prone to flooding.
