yes, she will definately catch it if you end up in bed, and if the canestan did not work it is probably not thrush! Canestan is a very effective treatment for vaginal thrush. Go to a GP and check asap

One day isn't really enough to say that it hasn't worked. I get this all the time and it usually takes a couple of days to start feeling abit better, you should continue using the cream until it totally goes away and give the pill/pessary time to act. You shouldn't have sex as it spreads really easily and she'll only end up catching it too. if it doesnt go away within a couple of days see your doctor as it could be something else and not thrush, hope this helps!

A good home remedy is to douche with plain yogart. The acidolpholis is the normal flora that prevents the infection in the first place. Eat a lot of yogart and douch with some too. Until the infection has cleared up AVOID sex with your partner or you guys will continue to pass it pack and foward. You should also contact your gyne to be sure this is what you have.

Yes, yeast infections can be passed around by the partners if one of them has a yeast infection.

I would recommend getting in touch with your dr to see if this is still indeed a yeast infection or something else going on. If it is indeed still a yeast infection the dr may need to change the medication you are using to try and treat the problem.

Tell her youve got it! It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's not an std - although you can catch it from your partner, loads of women get it at some point . also if you are still sor and itchy slap some natural bio yoghurt on it, it helps as has friendly bacteria to kill the bad bacteria.

She can catch it, you will be cross infecting each other all the time. At the time of your diagnosis your GP should have prescribed some for her too. If a woman has it the man normally also gets treated.

Hello, my daughter gets this problem regularly and she has passed this on to her partner once. Usually this doesnt happen but be aware that it can happen.
As you have now treated it you should be ok but there is always a risk you could infect your girlfriend, best wait a few days before sex to be sure.

Simple use a condom, and get checked out for other bacterial yeast conditions as it may not be thrush if is keeps reacurring,
