Try this: cut a fresh lemon in half and rub each elbow with the inner side of the lemon. The acid in the lemon juice is good for your skin and will make it smooth.

You can also use this on your knees. A lot of people have dry and rough skin on knees and elbows after the winter. You might also use a soft scrubbing lotion or simply take 2-3 tablespoons of sea salt and mix it with 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil. Mix thoroughly and apply to dry skin, rubbing it into the skin. Wash off with warm water. This natural peeling can be used anywhere on the body, even the face as a peeling (avoid contact with eyes!).

after taking a shower, use a pumice stone to get rid of the rough dry skin, then use lotion.

Try using a facial scrub on them - but you do need to use lotion or moisturiser or handcream on them.
