Please don't give me heart attack by saying Indian Christian Couple governed by the Indian Succession Act for the purpose of divorce, definitely the idiot Advocate who guided this must be demanding a lot of money for compromise as he himself knows nothing about matrimonial & divorce law governing Indian Christians. In this case the Christian Couple is governed by the India Divorce Act, 1869 as amended. As far the new ground added for marriage there exist ground of cruelty as well desertion for getting divorce apart from the divorce on mutual consent under section 10-A of the Act, tell this to your Idiot Advocate to check the amended Indian Divorce Act, if he wants to be in practice otherwise he should better leave the profession for he'll be further misguiding the clients.

You have to go to a lawyer firm. The marriage is under Indian succession Act., I don't know the exact laws under it, whether you have to follow the traditional Indian marriage laws and the case above is allowed in the marriage. But I knew that the Indian marriage laws is more aside to men.
