I do not believe in life after death. When asked why, I simply tell the questioner that I expect to return to the exact same state I was in before I was born.

the energy goes some where some call this energy the spirit or soul, in that aspect I do, also if you donate and organ for transplant it lives on long after you re gone, consider this scenario, if you leave say New Zealand which is a day ahead of the US land in the states and die shortly after your arrival you outlived yourself by a day

The question answers itself, there is no life after Death. There may be an existence when this conception of life has finished, but to be aware is to be alive.
