File for divorce , that way you have physical custody, if you get there first they will give it to you. If you wait they may give the kids to him and you will have to fight ot get them back. When you file for a divorce tell the laywer that he was abusive. If he tries to take the kids he will be in contempt. Advice is this if you file a restraining order and go back to him , the police wont do a dam thing for you. Also talk with a battered shelter as the others have said. File divorce, get restraining order and try to stay near a family or friend for now that will help. Men like this can be very danagerous, so watch your back because as we have all seen it they have thier way of getting around police. I am not saying this to scare you but you have to be careful for your kids sake , if he truly is this revengeful for you. Good luck dear

Call the battered women's clinic or your local police for information on assistance in your area. Also, get a restraining order, if he is threatening you.
