THANK YOU!!! I think texting has taken over. Kids use shorter words to text and it eventually ends up in their everyday grammar. It just doesn't seem that important to so many people these days. I work with people who don't think it matters that they send me email addresses that are spelled wrong. Um, kind of hard to get an email to get to a person if it's spelled wrong. Probably my biggest pet peeve is when I see signs that have spelling errors. This is someone who does this for a living. arrgghh! Thanks for letting me vent on the whole spelling thing. I was typing quickly, so I hope I didn't make any errors!

No. it somewhat is meant to be interpreted and amended. this is why the Framers set it up that way. in case you had a checklist that spelled out each and every little element, you does not have an elegantly worded national image, yet an unpleasant laundry checklist of records and numbers. extremely, it somewhat is precisely what proportion state Constitutions are. The appear as if city charters and have no poetry in any respect.

haha, too true. I am a teen and I can spell perfectly well and have been able to do so ever since I learned how to write at all. As to why, exactly, so many people do not write more clearly, my best guess is that they talk online so much that they're used to using "internet lingo" such as dis, lol, ttyl, neways, etc. that they no longer care whether or not they are writing things correctly.

No, they do so because they're just lazy and they think it's cool. Believe me, I'm 17 years old and most of my friends are like that! ^_^
But don't worry, I only write improperly when it comes to writing letters, here on Yahoo!Answers I always check my spelling.
Now, if only I can check my grammar too... ^_^

yep, I aint dat much older but it bin a while since I wrote lyke dis.
it's not a serious problem though, most grow out of it... I'd assume around my age (18), so it shouldn't last that long, but it can get on my nerves exspecially when they attempt to post a serious question, it's harder to take it seriously when som1 type lyke dis, U kno wat I mean?

They think that it saves time to write like that. But it's usually the more immature ones that do it.
