Their tiny chihuahua keeps on crapping in my yard. It had 4 babies which means 4x the crap. A fence is out of the question because we can't afford it and the owner won't put one up. Talking to the neighbors, bad idea...why? Let just say they are not good understanding people. They sell illegal stuff...if you know what I mean!!! What can I do?

Even if they're difficult, try talking to them. That's what animal control/the police will tell you to do. Ask them to at least clean up the poop and consider teaching their dogs not to bark at nothing.

Are your other neighbors also bothered? They should also go talk to these people. Inform your neighbors that you will contact the authorities if the problem isn't dealt with. (Leave the illegal stuff out - if the cops come over for Chihuahuas and end up doing a full-scale drug bust, then your neighbors are really stupid for having it around when you've told them your intentions.) Be as nice about it as you can. Something along the lines of, "It's very distracting to have your dog barking all day, and I don't feel it's my responsibility to clean up your dog's poop. Yes, it's my yard, but it's your dog's poop." (They should know that becoming a pooper scooper is one of the less glamorous benefits of dog ownership). Make it clear that the next time (and every time after that) the community rules (about dog barking, etc) are violated, you will inform the authorities. (This is a good time to smile and tell your neighbors that you didn't want to jump to any conclusions and call the police; you're sure they'll be better after realizing it had such an impact on you and the neighborhood.)

If the problem persists, call the police and/or animal control. Again, don't bring in the "illegal stuff" unless it's directly relevant (i.e. they're doping their dogs with illegal drugs). Bringing up everything the neighbor's ever done makes you look like a jerk just trying to get these people out of your neighborhood. Stick to the task at hand. It may take a long time for anything to happen, if it ever does. Document as much as you can. It helps. Consult your local laws about dog barking and cleaning up dog crap. Many areas REQUIRE the dog owner to clean up after the dog for a plethora of reasons.

Good luck!

If I had a neighbor dealing drugs I would report there little
game to the cops. Who knows when a drug deal will go
bad and bullets start flying. Some through your window.
Be sure its not a false report and turn there a** in.
As for the pooch? Go to the store and buy a few bottles
of household ammonia. Pore a solid unbroken line of it
along the property line. It may turn the grass brown but
it will turn the pooch around. Latter you may have to do
it for the puppy's also unless there out and about now.
Try this, you'll like it. Good luck.

Report them to animal control. Video tape the actions through a window for proof if possible. Or just deal with the chihuahua crap.

Be careful, depending on the type of illegal stuff they're selling you don't want to be videotaping it. Legal system is overcrowded and once they get out, they'll be looking for the person that sent 'em there.
Not all people who sell illegal stuff are unreasonable, but use your best judgement.

A dog of that size will not make a big mess (similair to an Ant). is it really so bad? if so go take a crap on thier lawn... or use a shovel and flick it over to their lawn when they are not looking.....

i have two chihuahuas. their poopy isn't big at all. (but then again, i have a ginormous fenced backyard). and they do their poopy in the very back where no one ever goes to. hmm, sounds like you got yourself a little dilema. like someone said...go talk to them, if they ignore you...file a complaint.

good luck.

p.s. can you steal one for my dad?

I'm sure the birds and squirrels and worms and everything else uses your yard too.

I would try to talk to them first despite what I may think of them. If they blow you off, then call the cops.
