Centigrade scale is 0 to 100
Equivalent Fareheit scale is 32 to 212

From C to F ==> F = (C temp * 9 / 5) + 32
From F to C ==> C = (F temp-32) * 5 / 9

Take 100C above:
F=(100 * 9/5) + 32
F=180 + 32
F=212

Take 104F:
C=(104-32) * 5/ 9
C=(72* 5 /9)
C=40

Farenheit To Celcius

The formula for converting farenheit (f) to Celcius (c) is
c=5/9 ( f - 32)

Say for example 14f,
c= 5/9 ( 14 - 32)
= 5/9 x ( -18 )
= 5 x ( -18 ) diveded by 9
= 5 x -2
= -10
so 14f is equal to -10C

F=C*9/5+32
C=(F-32)*5/9

F = degrees farenheit C = degrees Celcius C = ( F - 32 ) *5 /9

An easy rule of thumb: double the celcuius temp and add 30 (or subtract 30 from the F and divide by 2).

20 C = (20 X 2) + 30 = 70
70 F = (70 - 30) / 2 = 20

It isn't exact, but it is a quick and handy way to calculate.

70 Fahrenheit To Celsius

I'll teach you how to derive the formula without having to memorize it:

Remember that water boils at 100 degrees C (=212 deg F)
Water freezes at 0 degrees C (=32 degrees F)

I will try to draw this

C________F
100 ____212
---------|---------
---------|---------
---------|---------
C--------|-------F
---------|---------
---------|---------
---------|---------
0_______32

Now C and F is an equal temperature between these:

It follows that (taking gradients)

(C - 0) / (100-0) = (F - 32)/(212-32)

Simplify and you get a formula. Do a bit of juggling and you can either get C or F as the Verb.

T_C=(T_F-32)/1.8
T_F=1.8 T_C+32

where T_C is the temperature in Celsius and T_F is the corresponding temperature Fahrenheit.
