I have a ticket violation that is $430, the problem is I dont even have $30 and I cant get any more money because I am on a student visa and not legally allowed to work. If I can do community service, how many hours would it take for me to work off $430?

Go to court and explain to the judge your situation. Bring any supporting documents.

In a lot of cases, you can certainly do community service instead of paying the fine. But you have to convince a judge of that, and it is totally at his discretion

It doesn't work that way; if you don't pay the fine, at minimum, your driving rights will be suspended until you do pay the fee, additionally, a bench warrant issued for your arrest. If arrested, you could lose your student visa and be deported.

Either work for cash, sell your possesions, pick up aluminum cans and turn them in (going rate is about 60-65 cents a pound) or borrow the money from your parents.

Traffic school will only help you get points for the offense reduced off of your license and keep your insurance rates down and there are fees for attending traffic school - a home course may be $35 (if you qualify and pass the test) but attending session(s) range around $200, depending upon where you live.
