Yes, twice for a fire and twice for an ambulance. Embarrassing, given my profession.

Yes, I managed a restaurant for 10 years and had several opportunities to call the fire dept. Fortunately, none of those instances turned out to be really bad...the wonderful boys in flourescent yellow were always able to get the situation under control very quickly.

Yeppers sure did, wasnt for a fire, had a line to a faucet blow out in the up stairs bathroom and was new to the house didnt know where the water shut off was, by the time they got there, ceilings were caving in from all the water, was like a waterfall in the kitchen on the mainfloor, the basement even got flooded, they had to poke holes in the good ceilings to let the water run out to prevent them from caving in.... and helped to get most of the water out of basement and helped me to get things raised up... Oh I hope to never go thru that again, I always know where the water shut off is now...

Yes. Just last week while I was at the gas station on my way to work, I noticed that the bowling alley nearby had smoke and sparks coming from the roof. I noticed that they were getting worse, so I decided to call 9-1-1 just in case. I think the police came in like 30 seconds.

I was just a kid in the fifth grade I think when the chimney caught fire while me and my next door neighbor were asleep downstairs. My sister was in the shower upstairs right next to the closet that contained the chimney and where the fire started. One of my parents had to call the fire department. Luckily all of us made it out safely but the fire trucks ran out of water. I don't understand there was a river across the road but the entire upstairs was destroyed. My brother and sister lost all their possessions. We had to rent in town while it was rebuilt.

Yeah, I call them all the time. I'm a police dispatcher and occasionally I have to send out an ambulance or fire truck.

Yes, we had a heating oil tank leak and needed help fast. It was a real blessing when they showed up and shut everything off and cleaned up the leak, plus turned off our water heater to avoid other damage.

God bless our firemen and policemen and women. They are true heroes.

Well, I called for help after my car wreck and they sent police, fire and ambulance. I was very grateful for the kind firemans help. And the police and ambulance, too.
