The last time I tried to help someone in this condition I got turned in for say "In your condition" I didn't mean anything by it other then trying to help, apparently they took offense by it.
So, I'll try and give you some advice and, I don't mean anything offensive by anything I say.
Call the Knights of Columbus from the nearest Catholic Church in your area. The Veterans of Foreign wars, the American legion, The Christmas in July, the Red Cross.
If you call or contact the nearest Church in your area or the Welfare center they will have the names of many organizations that help people.
There are people out there that want to help for nothing other then to help their fellow man.
