I have a car thats used to use R12 A/C Refrigerant and needs to be refilled what should I do? I know how to fill a R13a system already and have all retrofits for an R12 System. I really just need to know who has the R12a Refrigerant for sale.

You can supposedly get it in Mexico, but it's not particularly pure, and can contain all kinds of crap, not the least of which is propane. It also doesn't help much if you don't live by Mexico. You can't buy it in the U.S. without a license because of some controversial law that is based on conflicting evidence. It's best and cheapest to get it retrofitted to R134, but don't expect the performance you got from R12. It's just not as efficient and is not capabable of cooling as well as a system that was designed from the start for R134. That's the fact. But if you insist, here's one website that took me all of ten seconds to find.

Nowhere and from no one that wants to run a possibility of being fined by the EPA up to $20,000. It's not just knowing how to refill but to ensure the system is working properly with no leaks and ensuring the r12 will not leave the a/c system and escape into the atmosphere depleting the ozone. R12 costs way too much. $30 for a 12 ounce can when you can buy R134a for $5.99 a 12 ounce can. You can also use the alternative of Freeze12 at about $12 a 12 ounce can which will work with your R12 system with no changeover.

Try salvage yards---they sometimes get an older car in and have to purge the a/c system before dismantling.

In Mexico or other countries that ,like you, don't care about the enviroment. Do it the right way, and save us all a little trouble.
