Civil war era and also late 1800's from about 1870 -1895.

Of course world war II because of the music and romance and the ever popular 1955-on.

I was around in 1953 but I am assuming you mean of an age to enjoy the times. I'd like to have been between 17 and 25 during any of the times I listed. Coincidental maybe but since I had a G. grandpa in Civil war several in Revolutionary War and WWII, maybe I think I'd run into them.

Actually, my own times didn't seem as neat. I liked music by Roy Orbison, 4 Seasons, Beach Boys but never was real wild about the Beatles or Elvis. I will never wear hip hugger bell bottoms again or alot of the other fashions from then.

I was small town farm area so the Summer of Love didn't mean a whole lot with them thar silly hippies and such,.

I've always been fascinated with the war years, specifically 1940's. Mainly because of the romanticism attributed to the era.

side note: a typo you may want to address, the 1600's were colonial/pre revolution. Not the Civil War. That would be the 1800's.

The 50s are a no brainer. They were considered the innocent times for teens and young adults.
