Ok so i have a Best friend but lately she doesnt seem like even a friend. Like today we went to the mall and she didnt want to go in any stores and she just kept going on, on how she wanted to hang out with this one guy J. And last night we had a sleepover and all she did was talk to J on the phone because she thinks hes "so cool" even though hes a drugie and a soon to be drop out, and now its even hard to hold one conversation with her on the phone because nowadays its always " Can i call you back, J is calling me?" Its obvious she likes him but other guys before like we could just all talk but now its just like im not good enough for her ya kno?

Some friends don't know the true value of friendship. Stop being her friend, stop calling her, if she doesn't want to talk so be it. It's obvious that she doesn't want to be your friend and she is putting interest in this boy just let her be. Soon he will get what he needs from her and when he's finished she will come to needing a shoulder to cry on. If you choose and it was me after the way she has treated me I would not be there, just find something to do, try to be busy when she calls and when she does get in touch with you and ask you what's wrong why doesn't you want to talk to her just tell her when you were trying to be there all she needed was J so go talk to him your to busy to talk to her, or your going to the mall and no she can't come. She'll realize what she has done and she may be mad for a while, but she will come along and if she doesn't then find a true friend there are many people that will like you for you and appreciate you and your friendship.

Just tell her that she's being a terrible friend. You gotta confront her. Hang out with other friends. If she's a true friend she'll realize how terrible she's being, apologize, and stop obsessing over him and start including you more.

I realize that you are feeling neglected. I would ask that you try to help her get away from this guy for her sake. Sometimes guys like that can monopolize you time, then drop you like a hot potato. She is going to get hurt, because druggies don't love anyone but their drugs. Please be patient and try to help her get away from this potentially bad situation. I am sure that she would do that for you.

I've been there...and it sucks. I'm 23 and my "best friend" for like 5 years STILL does that every time she meets someone. You need to voice to her that it upsets you. If she is sympathetic and tries to accommodate you're feelings--great! If not, friggin cut her loose you don't need a friend of convenience.

Why are you hanging out with her? Do you have any other friends you can hang out with instead?

Your friend will eventually learn the hard way about how to be a real friend.
