No. If you do, she'll just get further into her addiction. She's your mom, I know, but it is better for her if you don't.

You know the answer to that yourself being that your in recovery without asking us. No, I wouldn't give it to her, you also know that your enabling her, which in turn is going to kill her. You say "she'll have withdrawls if I don't", well you also already know that very well. Honey you have to make this decision yourself I'm afraid. It's not helping her, and you have to decide for yourself if you can live with the ultimate decision that you make. I feel bad for you, I really do. My mom is an alcoholic, and I know that's a hell of a long stretch from meth, but an addiction all the same. So I know the guilt your feeling as to whether to do it or not. I now refuse to buy my mom her vodka, she's still a drunk, but not because I'm helping her to be. Is it really good for your recovery to hold her drugs, and help her do them? I'm guessing not, you need to look out for yourself right now not your mom. Good luck sweetie.

I would tell the doc the situation. If the doc knows about the methodone and doesn't want her to have it after surgery is because maybe it will have some bad reaction with some other medication she's being givin. Good luck with your situation. I hope mom wants to quit soon.

No, I wouldn't, I'd take her to rehab right after the hosipital. There are some free ones out there if you're tight on cash. But giving an addict the drug is never the solution.Help her by healing, not by feeding her addiction.

attempt to maintain far off from absolutes and cliches. something man or woman, like interior your relationship, might safeguard actual meaning and value. regardless of the undeniable fact that for the period of the experience that your in basic terms staring at to create an prolonged existence of 'tic for tat' then 'incessantly' and 'your the main as much as date ever' is nicely matched. Stroking someones ego mutually as seeking to hold a message of admiration and appreciation is going a strategies mutually as that's some factor important and diverse to the relationship, whether or no longer it extremely is a friendship or actual love. there is not any greater desirable compliment than people who show the different man or woman which you care adequate to 'comprehend' who they extremely are and comprehend that particular interior.

Inform her doctor that she is on Methodone and ask if she should have it after the surgery. If he says yes, then let him prescribe it for her. Don't take it upon yourself to give it to her. That way you cover yourself and your mom with the right way.

I'm very sorry to heard this, but happy that you are a recovering addict [My brother died of a heroin overdose]. Please do not give it to her; things will only become worse and she will not want to stop if you do. If she has withdrawls, bring her back to the doctor. Do anything in your power to help her. Tell her doctor she wants you to sneak her it.

when you leave the hospital, instead of giving her the dope, can you take her to rehab instead.....or while she's in surgery, maybe you can talk to someone at that hospital ...they might be able to make arrangements for you.......I wouldn't want anyone to go thru withdrawl without medical supervision....I heard its horrible.......
best of luck

Evidently you haven't learned anything about addicts since you have quit using. Are you attending AA meetings or NA meetings? Did you go through rehab?
You are not doing her any favors by enabling her! Talk to your sponsor if you have one, talk to her doctor.

Absolutely NOT. I don't play with illegal drugs nor will I assist anyone in their druggie ways. I would give her drugs to her doctor and let the doctor deal with it.
