He also turned down a $3.6 million contract with the Cardinals, correct?

Thanks! Are you sure it was that short? It seemed that he was doing it a lot longer...I guess i'm thinking about his whole football career...yep, amazing man. I really respect his love for this amazing country. He fought for us so that we could sit here in freedom writing nonsense on Yahoo! Answers. :)

God Bless!

As a twenty-year Navy veteran who never really got shot at or was put in grave danger, and dreaming all the while of somehow being in the glory of the NFL as a player or announcer, the courage of Pat Tillman is most humbling.

Turning down $4M and certain Pro Bowl attention to defend the country at $18,000 a year is an unbelievable sense of priority that commands respect.

The reasons it's so hard to find the "facts" on Tillman is because we want to glorify our heros. You'd think he was a 10 year Pro Bowler from what was said, and things about his glorious rescue attempt, being killed by the enemy in combat... When in fact, what he did, without any fabricated lies; a few years in the NFL, serving his nation as best he knew how, was enough to make him a human hero.
