Try "Telstar" by the Tornadoes. It was the very first #1 hit song in America from Great Britain, back at the end of 1962. This was pre-Beatles/British Invasion. It's very creepy, all instrumental!
Also, I'd agree with "Echoes" by Pink Floyd off the "Meddle" album. It would be perfect, and that ONE song takes up an entire side of the LP!
Oh yeah! Try to find "Quentin's Theme" from '60s spook-fest soap, "Dark Shadows"! It has a harpsichord, and a very Victorian era sound to it!!!

It's not totally instrumental...but mostly instrumental....Pink Floyd recorded a song called "Echoes". It's on their album called "Meddle." It would work for Halloween music.

Well, the theme to Halloween is very scary. It is repetitive, intense, and just plain scary. Plus it is easily identifiable, which will add to the scary factor.

There is an old song from the sixties that was in the old movie Christine about that car that killed people. It was called Harlem Nocturne by the Viscounts. It is kind of creepy.
