I have an 01 Camaro SS that i plan on putting LT headers on. Is there really a big diffenace between the heat coated ones and the regular painted LT's? Money is somewhat an issue and I know the painted are cheaper but is there any real drawback to the painted LT's or is it just appearance? Thanks

there's a real big difference in them i have a set of the ceramic ones on one of my vehicles and they cool of a lot better, and haven't lost their color either, their just a better buy ,but their very expensive,i too have a small block chevy and i payed well over 250 bucks for mine on sale, but they have been worth the extra cost,i had went through two sets of the other ones, and they rust all the time these i have to say was worth what i payed for them, good luck hope this helps.

The ceramics are better. That's why they cost more. They will keep the heat in the exhaust and help with hp a little. They will retain their finish a lot longer and last longer too. You get what you pay for, in most cases. Get the ceramics, you'll be happier in the long run. good luck

I would ceramic coat them to help keep the heat in and for a log lasting finish. There is a reason that they are more money.
