When you fart is there a trace of feces that are released? Say if you farted in a chair constantly, would it have feces staines on it?

It's possible, but not very likely. It's best to err on the side of caution.
George Carlin said something about using the airplane seat cushions as a flotation device -- I don't recall the exact wording, but something like, who wants to be in the middle of the ocean sniffing somebody else's beer farts while waiting to be rescued?

Mine burn a hole clear through the chair. There may be feces residue on the floor underneath the chair.
