Is it true that when you're like in a pool that the water will stop your bleeding if you're on your period? Even if you're not wearing a pad or tampon? Cuz I just got a new pool and I really wanna swim, but it's that time again. (Sigh)

Being in the water CAN slow down your flow, but it doesn't stop it completely. For some women the water has no effect on their flow at all especially if you have a heavy flow.

Better to be safe than sorry or embarrassed. Just wear a tampon and you should be fine. Otherwise, I would wait until your period has ended.

It's a myth.
People who don't think they bleed in the water actually bleed some but the water disperses it because there is so much water in comparison.
Many people bleed a lot, even in the water.
Anyone who is old enough to menstruate is old enough to use tampons. Go for it!

Sorry dear, if this myth were true most women might never leave the water. Best to use a tampon.

Nope, that's incorrect. But, if you use a tampon, you should be just fine. I was on a swim team for a number of years, and that's how I dealt with it. Have fun swimming!

It's true. Whenever I'm on my period (I have REALLY heavy periods) I don't bleed in the water.
