Actually my husband didnt even have any sick days saved when our daughter was born and he got out of work for 3 days. They told him he could have taken more off but he chose to go back. Does your job offer paternity leave (there really is such a thing!)? If using sick days is the only option you have then you should probably go to work. Save at least a few sick days so you can see your son.
Congratulations on the baby!

Homer Simpson tried this and it back fired horribly.
But if you really want to. I think tell people you are going out on a boat, just push the boat out into sea, but dont get on it. They will find the boat and think you've fallen over board

you best go to work in the event something awful happens when he is born ( I certainly pray not). Another reason to go is you gonna need the money for those diapers.. whew..they don't grow on trees!!!

Tell them you broke your leg. When you go back to work, just say you were mistaken. Works everytime!

Dude, be responsible... go to work... earn your money. You'll feel better about yourself. And when your child's birth comes around you won't feel guilty about lying to your boss. REMEMBER integrity is vital.
