I've seen it in magazine ads and it looks fun. I'd like to buy it but it'd be nice to hear what other people think of it first. I'm wondering:
Is it fun? Can my whole family (including children 6-10 yrs.) play? And what exactly do you do in the game?

I have it, and it's a little fun, but the fun is short lived. After about 5 recipes, you've pretty much seen everything the game has to offer. The rest is just repeating the same actions over & over again, but in different order depending on the recipe. It's not very rewarding, either. In one mode you can earn new items for your kitchen, but none of these items are particularly good incentives that would make the game any more exciting.
UPDATE: It does not teach you recipes. It only allows you to interact with some of the main ingredients in the international recipes.

OMG! I LOVE THAT GAME!!!! its totally good for any age ! it teaches you some basic to maybe intense recipes from all around the globe, it lets to chop ingredients, stir fry, grill, and all the other steps needed to cook the dish. ITS LOADS OF FUN.
