I don't know about Harvard, but you can get into UC Berkeley and Stanford without SAT taken. That is exactly how the majority of students get there. They do the direct transfer from the local community colleges. I know Las Positas Community College has such transfer program. You have to enroll in that program, complete certain amount of classes there, and if you maintain high GPA (which is easy there), you get automatically transfered to Berkeley or Stanford. Check the Las Positas Community College in Livermore, CA, website for more info. See the Student Transfer Center there. Most of my friends got transfered this way including myself/

Perhaps.
What can be said is that a Harvard grad had an opportunity at a better education.
In addition, Harvard does it's best to skim the cream off the top of the people who apply for their fine institution.
But intelligence is a tricky thing, and it is totally possible for very intelligent people to go to lesser schools, or not even attend college at all.
Still, on average, I think if you picked two people at random, one from Harvard, and one from the ranks of us Non-Harvard people, the Harvard grad would be smarter 17 times out 20, maybe even 19 out of 20.
As to getting into Harvard, money is nice, but that is not all they look at. If it was, they wouldn't be Harvard.
All I can say is, do you best, study hard, and give it shot.
(P.S. What does a GPA of 92 mean? Is that good or bad? When I was in school, it was pretty much 1.0 thru 4.0)

Well generally some of them are much smarter than the average person but there are many average students who go there. They just study and work hard to get through. I do think they're parents play a part in them getting in because i've heard they love "Ivy league families". Just because your parents don't speak english doesn't mean they can't be great role models. You can help them be great role models. Role models don't play a part in getting into Harvard. What makes them smart is not only SAT/ACT scores but also high school grades, gpa, clubs/volunteer work. Those all factor into getting into Harvard. Not all Harvard students are rich. Lots of them get scholarships, grants, and student loans to pay for tuition and other fees. They are just normal students like us they just work hard and study to pass like any good student would do. I've always wanted to get into Harvard as well..I never really wanted to attend Harvard but just getting accepted would be great for me!
